Trans-1,4-poly(butadiene-co-isoprene) rubber (TBIR), a new functional rubber material with excellent properties, is a solution to the compatibility problem of such common rubber as natural rubber, cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber, and styrene-butadiene rubber. With improvement in the dispersion of fillers in the rubber mix, various types of rubber can deliver great performance. The rubber compound containing TBIR has a high green strength and great dimensional stability; the vulcanized rubber containing TBIR has high fatigue resistance and wear resistance, and low rolling resistance and heat generation.
TBIR features low rolling resistance and heat generation, high mechanical strength and elasticity, great fatigue resistance, wear resistance, self-reinforcing performance, and processability.
