Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic resin produced via polymerization from the monomer propylene. Polypropylene is non-toxic, odorless, and low in density. It is superior to low-pressure polyethylene in strength, stiffness, hardness, and thermal resistance. It can be used at about 100 °C and is not susceptible to humidity, but at low temperatures, it becomes brittle, and susceptible to wear and aging.
